At New Wave Federation and the North London Regional Training Centre we are passionate about enhancing great teaching and learning through the use of technology. We understand and appreciate that every school and setting has differentiated needs when it comes to using technology effectively in the classroom, which is why we are offering free bespoke, high quality training to schools.

Overview

Our Offer

  • Free staff meetings and training on any area of the Computing curriculum and the use of iPad and apps.
  • Free CEOP e-safety training for all school educators, parents and carers on how to keep children and young people safe from exploitation online. This course is run by a CEOP accredited Ambassador.
  • Free support and delivery of the accredited professional learning programme, Apple Teacher.
  • Please note that if applicable travel costs will apply.

Training

Some of the popular training sessions we successfully run, include:

  • Coding with Swift playground. Supporting teachers to use this free iPad app to teach coding fundamentals.
  • iPad in EYFS. Inspiring apps to engage early learners.
  • Engaging all learners: iPad accessibility features and SEND.
  • Lights, Camera, Action! Inspiring and developing young filmmakers with a host of iPad apps for all ages.
  • CEOP Thinkuknow Introduction course. Providing educators with the understanding of new technologies and how children and young people are using them, the main risks associated with online environments and how the CEOP Thinkuknow education resources respond to these risks.

About Our Trainers

All our trainers are outstanding practioners, accredited Apple Professional Learning Educators and trained CEOP Ambassadors. Together they have a wealth of experience delivering quality training to a range of educational stakeholders including teachers, subject leads, teaching assistants, parents, governors and trainee teachers at the start of their careers.
